Conductivity meters, or conductimeters, are digital instruments that can measure the electrical conductivity of liquids. Conductivity is a very important parameter in the analysis of water; be it drinking water, wastewater or water from industrial processes. Conductivity meters find use in chemical industries, laboratories, print shops, schools and universities, wastewater treatment, cooling towers, boilers, etc.

The pH electrode is a sensor with a glass membrane that is sensitive to H+ ion activity. It transforms this activity into a proportional electrical signal. This electrical signal through a digital instrument (pH meter) is then transformed into pH units.

Conductivity, on the other hand, is measured through a probe called a conductivity cell, which is connected to the conductivity meter and immersed in the solution to be measured. The measured value is expressed in µS/cm or mS/cm (submultiples of the main unit of measurement S/cm).
